Optical televiewer

The optical televiewer log (OPTV) generates a 360° image of borehole or well walls with a resolution of 1 millimetre.

The optical televiewer (OPTV) performs both in dry and clear water conditions up to a temperature of 50° C and a pressure of 200 bar, it gives information about the dip and azimuth of the borehole.

Flowmeter (Mm)

This logging probe (Mn) moves constantly up and down an impeller flowmeter to measure vertical fluid movement inside the borehole. Water entries or outlets inside the well or the borehole cause a change in the velocity of the impeller.

Applications:

  • Pumping flow profiles in screened or perforated cased holes
  • Identification of hydrostratigraphic units

Caliper Log (CM)

The mechanical caliper (CM) measures the diameter of the borehole or well.

The acoustic televiewer (BHTV) generates an image of borehole or well walls transmitting ultrasound impulses.

The acoustic scanner (BHTV) needs wet conditions (presence of fluid) inside the borehole, it operates with a temperature of up to 70°C and a pressure of 200 bar. It gives information about the dip direction and azimuth of the borehole.

The borehole fluid conductivity is directly proportional to the concentration of dissolved minerals. It is generally used in hydrogeology to determine the concentration of dissolved ions in the aquifers and to locate the fluid flows occurring in the borehole.

Full wave sonic and inspection of cementing (CBL)

The full wave sonic log (FWS) operates with an acoustic signal propagating in rock formations and can be compared to seismic vertical logs inside boreholes or wells.
